Lots of owners use red/NIR light for senior pets — stiff joints, wounds, and general recovery. A few sensible starting points:
Talk to your vet first (especially for anything undiagnosed, or over a lump or mass). Keep sessions short and gentle, let the animal stay comfortable and move away if they want to, and keep the light out of their eyes. Watch how they respond over a couple of weeks. What are you treating, and what device are you using?
