The COB design is another important distinction. Instead of relying entirely on a large grid of conventional SMD LEDs, EMR-TEK spreads five high-powered COB modules across the panel. The company says this arrangement is intended to provide more consistent output across the treatment area rather than concentrating the strongest light in one small section.
EMR-TEK recommends positioning the body around 10 to 18 inches from the panel. New users are advised to begin with approximately five minutes using the LED output before gradually working toward sessions of up to 20 minutes. The stronger COB output can be introduced once the user is comfortable with the device. For facial sessions, EMR-TEK recommends using LED-only mode from farther away rather than exposing the face to the strongest output.
The Firestorm Pro also uses Meanwell industrial-grade drivers. EMR-TEK lists the panel at 0% flicker and near-zero EMF at normal operating distance. Those specifications will be particularly appealing to buyers who specifically look for low-flicker and low-EMF equipment, although they may be less important than output, coverage, and usability for the average buyer.
Half-body coverage is both a strength and a limitation. The Firestorm Pro can treat considerably more area at once than a small panel, making sessions more convenient for the back, torso, or legs. However, it is not tall enough to provide complete head-to-toe coverage in one position. Anyone specifically wanting a single-panel full-body setup will need to move up to a larger model.

There are practical disadvantages to having this much output. EMR-TEK warns that the device can become hot during operation and should not be placed directly against the skin. Eye protection is also required and is included with the panel. The Firestorm Pro is therefore better suited to someone prepared to follow a consistent treatment setup than a buyer looking for a casual wearable device that can simply be switched on and forgotten about.
Customer feedback is one area where the Firestorm Pro currently has very little evidence to work with. EMR-TEK’s product page shows a perfect rating, but it is based on only one product-specific review. The return policy is another notable drawback. EMR-TEK offers a 30-day return window, but its current policy states that products generally need to be unused and in their original packaging.
